General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces the lines at the eye corner, how the muscle component is told from the skin component, and what treatment costs in time, appointments and trade-offs. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
How much of your own line is the muscle folding the skin and how much is a change in the skin itself depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: how the eye corner behaves at rest and in movement, how thick and elastic the skin is, and where the lid edge and the brow sit. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a plan made from a website alone is a plan made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ, the muscle rungs work over months rather than permanently, and no clinician and no website can guarantee an outcome. Any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it. The face continues to change after any treatment, the lines return as the muscle keeps moving, and further treatment is a choice rather than a failure.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment to this area and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness or fever, bleeding that does not stop, a change in vision, new double vision, an eye that becomes dry and gritty with a lid that no longer closes comfortably, or a lump that was not there before, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
